The Department of Public Works Pavement Preservation Program is set to begin on Thursday in the Township.

HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — Smoother roads are within sight as the Hillsborough Department of Public Works begins its Pavement Preservation Program on Thursday.

A total of 21 roads will be improved over the next three weeks.

The "Pavement Preservation Program is a long-term, cost-effective maintenance program designed to extend pavement life through the use of preventative maintenance products such as the micro seal and chip seal. When applied to the “Right Roads at the Right Time,” it improves safety and driving quality while saving tax dollars. Currently, 20 roads are scheduled to receive some type of road preservation," according to the Township.
