Somerset County has issued a shelter in place order due to serious flooding that is occurring Monday evening across the region. All residents and businesses are being told to stay home - "no one is to travel," the county said in an announcement Monday evening.

Roads are flooded and conditions are extremely dangerous, according to officials.

"An emergency has been declared and request all residents and businesses assist with compliance so emergency personnel can continue to work and get people to safety," the announcement said.
