Single-Car Vehicle Crash in Hillsborough Shutters Road
Police are investigating a single-car accident in Hillsborough Township that closed Amwell Road for four hours.

Hillsborough Township Police reported a single-car motor vehicle crash in the township this morning, Tuesday, March 10.
Police responded to the car accident at 6:28 a.m. on Amwell Road, just west of Woodfern Road. A preliminary investigation revealed the driver was operating a 1998 Lincoln Continental eastbound on Amwell Road when he lost control, according to Hillsborough Township Police. The vehicle slid off the eastbound shoulder and struck a utility pole.
The driver of the vehicle was taken to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick. The driver’s condition has not been released.

Police said both directions of Amwell Road were closed to traffic for four hours while the accident was investigated. Police are continuing to investigate the cause of the single-car accident.
