Why do you believe the teacher should be recognized or honored?

Miss Kaitlyn has gone above and beyond since our son started with her. The patience she shows and the way she works with her aides is truly something else. She works diligently to adapt to each one of her student's needs. Working in an autism classroom she has a smaller class but that only proves more challenging in more ways because of the disabilities she works with. One goal of the classroom is to help push each child to their learning goals. She has to maintain each child's learning plan and try to push them to expand their goals. She is never afraid to tell a parent if she feels there is an issue or to simply let us know when they seem a little off that day. Her communication is far beyond any teacher's I've ever seen. Her compassion for her students is evident in everything she does with them.
