Vehicle Burglaries Target Franklin Residents On New Year’s Eve: Police
Many of the vehicles burglarized on Dec. 31 were unsecured, Franklin police said.
FRANKLIN, NJ - A string of Franklin residents’ vehicles were burglarized during the overnight hours into New Year’s Eve, authorities said.
Six separate motor vehicle burglaries were reported on Dec. 31, with items stolen ranging from a $50 gift card to a wallet to over $4,000 in electronics, Franklin police said in a blotter.
The burglaries were reported in Easton North Drive, Stanwick Court, Onizuka Court, McAuliffe Court and Hampton Court, police added. In many cases, suspects rummaged unlocked vehicles and took nothing of value.

One Somerset resident also saw their motor vehicle, valued at $10,000, stolen overnight near Easton North Drive. It was not immediately clear if the vehicle had been found by Monday morning.
