How to Order Girl Scout Cookies Online
GS cookie booths are not the only place fans can find cookies this year; the largest girl led business is moving online in 2015 with a new Digital Cookie experience.
- Girl Scout Cookie fans can find their favorite cookies online, by using the Cookie Booth Locator or by downloading the mobile app available for Android and Apple devices.
Digital Cookie will introduce vital 21st century lessons about online marketing, application use, and e-commerce to more than 15,000 excited central and southern NJ Girl Scouts, a rep from Girl Scouts of Central & Southern NJ stated.
There’s just one catch – you have to know a Girl Scout! Digital Cookie follows Girl Scouts’ classic “hands on” approach to teaching girls new skills.
Through the platform, local Girl Scouts will be able to take in-person cookie orders from customers and, for the first time, automate cookie shipments through a unique transaction application designed specifically for Girl Scouts.
Customers who buy cookies from girls using the application will be able to have their order processed, paid for, and confirmed right in front of their eyes.
The platform places an emphasis on the safety of girls and customers alike and offers an online experience that allows girls to learn about digital money management, using dashboards to track their sales and goals, and teaches modern skills while aligning with the interests of today’s girls.
Sending Cookies to US Soldiers
Girls Scouts will also be sponsoring the Taste of Home Program, a service project for sending Girl Scout Cookies to US soldiers serving overseas and the Share in the Community Program, where a girl identifies an organization like a senior center, VA hospital or food bank that she would like to be the recipient of donated Girl Scout Cookies, the rep stated. Consumers can purchase additional cookies to donate to either program.
The Largest Girl-Led Business in the Country
The Girl Scout Cookie Program remains the largest girl-led business in the country generating $790 million in sales, the rep stated. The program teaches girls 5 essential business skills including goal setting, decision-making, money management, people skills and business ethics.
The purchase of a box of Girl Scout Cookies will help girls reach their goals including travel opportunities, camping and more.
