11 Restaurants In Hudson County Win 2024 Awards From Wine Spectator

Where to eat near the waterfront: Restaurants in Hoboken, Jersey City, and Weehawken were recognized by Wine Spectator.

HUDSON COUNTY, NJ — Hudson County is clearly a restaurant destination, if the awards given by Wine Spectator Magazine last month are any indication.

The magazine recently released its 2024 restaurant awards, honoring eateries across the country for their cuisine and wine list.

A total of 11 Hudson County eateries were on the list, pretty impressive, considering Bergen County is larger and only had 10 (see the Bergen County list here).

This year’s awards program recognized 3,777 dining destinations from all 50 states and more than 75 countries.

In Hudson County, they weren't just centered in the popular commuter towns of Hoboken and Jersey City. Weehawken had two restaurants on the list. West New York and North Bergen each had one.

Many of the awardees are on the Hudson River waterfront.

"Launched in 1981, the Restaurant Awards represent the world’s only program focused exclusively on restaurant wine service," said the publication last week. "They are assigned on three levels: the Award of Excellence, the Best of Award of Excellence and the Grand Award."
