HOBOKEN, NJ — Is it too early to think about spring? Not if you're planning to attend Hoboken's bi-annual Art and Music Festival. The city announced on Tuesday that it has tapped a 1980s pop singer to headline the free outdoor event.

Internationally renowned artist Brenda K. Starr will headline the festival, scheduled for Sunday, May. 18.

The fair tends to attract more than 30,000 visitors each spring, with two to three stages and more than 300 vendors, including artists, schools, and chefs.

It takes place on the lower half of Washington Street, the main street, and is a walk of four to five blocks from the Hoboken Train Terminal.

This year, the city has partnered with EventHub, a digital event management platform, to streamline the vendor and sponsorship registration process. Registration will open on Feb. 3 and close when capacity is reached.
