Pedestrian Hit By Car, Hospitalized In Hudson County
A pedestrian was hospitalized with "life-threatening" injuries after being struck at a Jersey City intersection, prosecutors say.
JERSEY CITY, NJ — A man was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries Sunday night after being hit by a vehicle in Jersey City, prosecutors said.
The 61-year-old Jersey City man was walking near Communipaw and Mallory avenues around 9:15 p.m. when he was struck, said the Hudson County Prosecutor's Office on Tuesday afternoon.
He was taken to Jersey City Medical Center, where he remains in critical condition, prosecutors said in a release shortly after noon.

The vehicle remained at the scene, they said.
The accident is being investigated by the Hudson County Regional Collision Investigation Unit with assistance from the Jersey City Police Department, prosecutors said.
