2 Purse-Snatchings In Hoboken Prompt Police To Seek Information
Police in Hoboken asked for information on Saturday about two overnight robberies, one near the police station.
HOBOKEN, NJ — Hoboken police are investigating two purse-snatchings that took place early Saturday morning, they said.
One of the robberies took place on the 100 block of Hudson Street, they said, the same block as the police station. Police said a man grabbed a woman's purse and ran off.
The other purse-snatching took place in the center of town, near Seventh and Garden streets, they said.

"The victim described the actor as a tall thin dark skinned male, wearing black clothing and a white baseball cap, carrying a backpack," police said.
Both incidents took place between 12:20 a.m. and 1 a.m., police said.
