Airlines Grounded And Delayed In NJ, NYC Due To Worldwide Tech Outage
Flights around the world, including at Newark airport and NYC, have been grounded due to a communications outage, the FAA said.

NEW YORK AND NEW JERSEY — Airport passengers have been stranded and flights have been delayed at Newark Airport and New York City airports due to a worldwide technical issue.
Flights at Newark Airport are delayed an average of 48 minutes, according to the FAA, and at LaGuardia, they're delayed an average of 107 minutes, with some gates closed. See the updated status here or here.
Reports Friday morning said the technical outage appeared to be related to issues with Microsoft and a global cybersecurity firm, CrowdStrike, and that it was affecting banks, airlines, airports, and media outlets around the world.
