Artie Lange's Favorite Hoboken Pizzeria Demolished To Build Condos
Uptown Pizza in Hoboken, a favorite stop for comedian Artie Lange, has been demolished to be replaced by a residential building.

HOBOKEN, NJ — A longtime favorite pizza spot in uptown Hoboken met the wrecking ball last week.

Uptown Pizza on 14th Street closed in spring 2024. Architects' plans show that the lot, which once had residential units behind it, will soon contain a five-story residential building.

In the year since the eatery closed, it was festooned with flyers.


The place was a favorite of comedian and former Howard Stern Show regular Artie Lange, who lives nearby. He was once quoted as saying that they would deliver his favorite foods in 11 minutes.

The rendering shows that the new building will contain large glass windows overlooking 14th Street.
Hoboken Girl noted that the Zoning Board gave approval in spring 2025 for the building to contain four stories of housing above a restaurant.
The building is at 54 14th St., a four-block walk from the waterfront and ferries.
