Broadway Show Cast To Perform At Hoboken Arts And Music Festival This Weekend

HOBOKEN, NJ — Several musical acts have been added to the lineup at the Hoboken Art and Music Festival this Sunday, including the cast of a musical currently on Broadway.

The festival will be held on the lower half of the main street, Washington Street, with more than 300 vendors and two musical stages.

The headlining musical act, Toronto-based cover band Dwayne Gretzky, will appear on the Observer Highway stage performing the classic hits of the '70s, '80s, '90s, and 2000s. The 10-piece band, known as “Canada’s Greatest Party Band,” has built a following based on their energetic live performances.

They will perform at 5 p.m.

The first set of performers on the Observer Highway stage will be cast members from "The Great Gatsby," performing the Broadway show's opening number.

Observer Highway and Washington Street

11:45 a.m.: Broadway's The Great Gatsby: Cast from Gatsby will perform the show's opening number
12:30 p.m.: Sandro Bevilaqua: A local singer, songwriter, and composer
1:30 p.m.: Allison Strong: Union City-born singer, songwriter, actor, and composer
3 p.m.: Men of Soul: All your soul and R&B favorites
5 p.m.: Dwayne Gretzky

Seventh and Washington Streets

12 p.m.: A variety of youth performances, including the All Saints Bold Dancers, School of Rock, and Shattered Signal.
2 p.m.: Lunasmith: a female-led alternative indie band
3:15 p.m.: Krystal: Hoboken-grown rock band
4:30 p.m.: Wild Planes: High octane Rock and Roll

The annual fall festival attracts more than 30,000 people, city officials say.

The rain date is Oct. 5.

Wheelchair-accessible seating can be made available for each performance with prior notice of at least one week. Contact Hoboken Cultural Affairs at 201-420-2000 Ext. 5102 to make a request. Accessible restrooms will be located near the main stage on Observer Highway and on Washington Street at Seventh Street.
