Ice Cream Shop Is Coming To Corner Of Hoboken's Washington Street

HOBOKEN, NJ — It's about 90 degrees in the shade, but help is on the way.

Van Leeuwen ice cream, a national chain that opened a location in downtown Jersey City last year, is setting up shop on a Hoboken corner that was used most recently as a chain nail salon.

The chain boasts unusual flavors and types of regular and vegan ice cream, as well as cookies and other treats.

Flavors have included malted cookie dough shake, peanut butter brownie honeycomb, marionberry cheesecake, buttermilk berry cornbread, and cookies and cream.

Patch reached out to get an idea of the opening date in Hoboken, but hasn't received a reply yet, and interior work was still proceeding early this month. Patch will post a new story when more details are released.

The shop is located in the former Glosslab space at 537 Washington St.
