Changes to be Made to HHA Meetings

An announcement from the new HHA chairman.

recently announced that the board will implement some changes to the meetings.

The HHA will be adding a second public-comment portion to the
meetings in which people can sign up to speak on specific action
items, Stuiver wrote in a recent email.

This portion will be held at the beginning of every meeting, so that residents can voice their opinions before the commissioners vote.

There will also be some changes to the online process, and the way the meeting documents are made public.

"Going forward, the Hoboken Housing Authority will be making its entire
agenda and resolutions to be voted on available for public view as far
in advance of our monthly meeting as possible," Stuiver wrote.

HHA meetings are usually on the second Thursday of every month. Commissioners typically receive agenda packets the Friday before each upcoming meeting. Agendas and resolution will now be online on the HHA website.

At the end of the meeting, the general public portion will still be held.

"Over the coming months, we will continue to make improvements to our
web site and add more public documents and subcommittee-meeting
schedules in order to facilitate and encourage more public input," Stuiver wrote.
