Crash On Lincoln Tunnel Helix In Hudson County Closes 2 Lanes
Two lanes of Route 495 near the Lincoln Tunnel in Weehawken were closed due to a crash during Thursday morning rush hour.
HUDSON COUNTY, NJ — Two left lanes leading to the Lincoln Tunnel were closed just before 8 a.m. Thursday morning due to a crash on the helix, snarling traffic.
The state Department of Transportation said the crash was on Route 495 eastbound, just west of Boulevard East in Weehawken.
"NJ Transit bus service traveling into and out of the New York Port Authority Bus Terminal is subject to up to 30-minute delays due to an earlier motor vehicle accident on Route 495," posted the transit agency in an alert around 8 a.m.

NJ Transit bus tickets and passes are being cross honored by NJ Transit rail service, they said.
The investigation is ongoing, the state said.
