Hoboken E-Bike Rider Brought To Hospital After Being Hit By Car: Police

An e-bike rider went to the hospital after a driver hit him Wednesday night, police said.

HOBOKEN , NJ — An e-bike driver was taken to the hospital Wednesday night after he was hit by someone pulling out of a parking spot, Hoboken police said.

At 7:15 p.m., the police responded to the 500 block of Washington Street on reports of a crash between an e-bike and a vehicle, said a Hoboken police spokeswoman.

An on-scene investigation determined that the vehicle was exiting a parking spot when the two collided, said public safety spokeswoman Marci Rubin.

The e-bike rider was taken to the hospital "with a complaint of pain which presented as minor," according to Rubin.

The driver was ticketed for making an improper turn, Rubin said.
