Fire In Western Hoboken Under Investigation

Hoboken firefighters headed to a blaze in western Hoboken late Tuesday.

HOBOKEN, NJ — Hoboken firefighters are investigating the cause of a blaze inside a residential unit on Tuesday, officials said.

Public Safety Spokeswoman Marci Rubin said that around 4:50 p.m. on Tuesday, the Hoboken Fire Department responded to the 200 block of Clinton Street on reports of a fire inside a residential unit that was unoccupied.

The fire, which was extinguished quickly, was contained to one room, Rubin said. The unit sustained minor water damage.

No injuries were reported, Rubin said.

The scene was cleared by 7 p.m.

Investigators are trying to determine how the fire started, she said.
