"There is still a large amount of uncertainty with impacts which are dependent on the exact track and intensity of a deepening low pressure Saturday night into Sunday near the Carolinas/Southern Middle Atlantic coast. How far north the low tracks along with its strength later Sunday and
Monday will be the main determining factors for potential wind and coastal flood impacts."
A Hazardous Weather Outlook issued earlier this week said: "A coastal storm could produce strong winds and widespread coastal flooding from Sunday into Monday."
Accuweather said, "A powerful tropical wind and rainstorm will unfold and bring days of coastal flooding, erosive surf, high winds and rain from the Carolinas to New England; Some areas may face impacts similar to a major nor'easter or hurricane."
High tides can also contribute to flooding. See the tide times here.
