The limestone-clad Hoboken Trust Company bank building at Washington and 14th streets, in uptown Hoboken, opened in 1903, according to the Hoboken Historical Museum.

Around 1997, the building at 1400 Washington St. was sold to the Hudson Reporter, a weekly newspaper group that had previously occupied space across the street in a basement.

In spring 2016, the newspaper chain moved to an office in Bayonne, and the building was sold to Thor Equities.

An exercise studio, Soul Cycle, moved in and sold juice drinks in front. Soul Cycle is still there.

But Forum Coffee will share the space, they said.

Exercise And Coffee

"Soul Cycle will still be there," the Forum owners told Patch in May. "We'll be right up front. It's the old Juice Press space. We'll have outdoor seating on both sides of the building and partnering with Soul Cycle so riders can preorder their organic Forum Freeze or Protein Freeze (Our take on smoothie protein shakes) and have them waiting when they get out of class."

The Forum Coffee brand is rapidly growing, with four other stores having recently opened in North Jersey, outside of Hoboken.
