Free Southwest Festival Returns To Hoboken Saturday
A range of food, music, and entertainment will be available free at Hoboken's third annual Southwest Fest. See what's in store.

HOBOKEN, NJ — The third annual Southwest Fest, in the southwestern corner of Hoboken, has something special for the community — The range of food offerings, rides, and other entertainment options are free.
The festival takes place from 12-5 p.m. on Jackson Street between Second and Fourth Streets, and invites residents from across the city to unite for an afternoon of food, fun, and entertainment.
Organized by the newly formed southwestern Hoboken Neighbors, an affiliate of Community Lifestyle, in collaboration with Community Lifestyle, What Hoboken Sounds Like, Hoboken Housing Authority, and Ruben Ramos, Jr., Southwest Fest has grown into a signature event that captures the vibrant spirit of Southwest Hoboken.

There will be some new food offerings like Urban Skewers and Dipp and Smashed, as well as Tastebuds, Hot House, Mama Millie’s hot dogs, and the southwest Hoboken classic, Piccolos. True to its mission, all offerings, including food, games, and prizes, are completely free, ensuring that every family can enjoy the day.
“Southwest Fest is about community, connection, and creating memories,” said Jennifer Delgado and Sasha Nizgoda from SW Hoboken Neighbors. “It’s a time to bring our community together to celebrate what makes Southwest Hoboken special.”

Ruben Ramos, Jr., 4th Ward councilman, added, "Our community has come together to make Southwest Fest better and better every year. I am looking forward to kicking off summer with a joyful celebration that is accessible to all residents."
