High School Performs Aida—You Have Three More Chances To Go
Hoboken High is putting on a production of Aida
Hoboken High School is performing Aida—a love story set in ancient Egypt—this weekend at the school's auditorium. The students are performing twice on Saturday, at 2 p.m. and at 8 p.m. There will also be a show on (what is supposed to be a rainy) Sunday afternoon, at 2 o'clock.
Hoboken High parent and Board of Education hopeful Ken Howitt urged people to go and see the show this weekend. (tickets are $10 for general admission; $7 for college students, $5 for students and $2 for senior citizens).
Howitt wrote in an e-mail that 41 cast members and 60 other students have been working on the production. A six by four feet wide three-dimensional mask of Aida, created by the students, will adorn the stage, Howitt wrote.

"In addition, the set has many surprises," Howitt wrote, promising that "sails will unfurl to create a magical theatrical experience."
