Hoboken Resident Opens 'Young, Contemporary' Boutique in Ridgewood

Hoboken resident Jeanna Palumbo, formerly the assistant general manager and buyer for three Hoboken boutiques, has opened her own shop in Ridgewood.

The Alba Boutique, located  at 10 S. Broad St., near other downtown Ridgewood shops like Gypsy Warrior and Savvy Chic, held its grand opening on Sept. 7.

Though Alba is Palumbo's first store, she comes to the project with seven years in the industry, working in the corporate offices of major department stores as well as smaller retail outfits. She left her most recent gig with the Fifty Five Group in August, and spent the next four weeks racing toward a grand opening.

Alba will cater to “twenty-somethings and trendy moms,” Palumbo said, offering everything to fill out a wardrobe: dresses and blouses as well as shoes, jewelry and handbags.
