'Coastal Storm' Could Bring Flooding, Wind Gusts To Hoboken: See Timing

As much as an inch of rain may fall in Hoboken Sunday night as a coastal storm arrives, the NWS says.

HOBOKEN, NJ — As much as an inch of rain may fall in Hoboken Sunday night into Monday as a "coastal storm" approaches the Northeast, forecasters say.

Officials in the mile-square city have said that more than 0.8 inches of rain in an hour can flood parts of the city.

Hazardous Weather Outlook issued by the National Weather Service says: "A coastal storm could produce strong winds and widespread coastal flooding from Sunday into Monday."

Accuweather said, "A powerful tropical wind and rainstorm will unfold and bring days of coastal flooding, erosive surf, high winds and rain from the Carolinas to New England; Some areas may face impacts similar to a major nor'easter or hurricane."
