Hudson County Pet Photo Competition Kicks Off

Pets from all over Hudson County will battle it out over the coming months to win Trusty Tails 2nd annual pet competition. Only 1 pet will be crowned the 2021 Tail of the Year.

Set to be Hudson County's largest pet competition ever seen, organizers at Trusty Tails are looking for pet owners all over the county to enter their pets in the Tail of The Year Photo Competition.

First, entrants will enter their pet’s photo and compete to become the Tail of their City. One Semi-Finalist for each of the 11 cities in Hudson County. Then, the 11 city tail winners will go on to compete to win the overall title of 2021 Tail of the Year.

Owner Heather Gaida said, “We’re excited to have this competition again this year. It was such a success last year. Tail of the Year is a pet competition meant to celebrate all animals and the love people have for their pets. I am excited to offer all pet owners in Hudson county the opportunity to compete for a chance to win. It’s going to be so much fun for everyone involved.”

Entries are open from August 30th - September 26th, after which a public vote and judging will take place - with the winner of the Tail of the Year being announced on the November 24th.

To enter, pet owners need to submit a photo of their pet and tell us why their pet should represent their city and go on to take the title of ‘Tail of The Year 2021’.

“People are so excited about the competition and have even been pre-registering since we had last year’s competition. We can’t wait to have pets enter on August 30th, 2021. With hundreds entering last year and thousands voting, we’re just so thrilled to be running this competition again,” says Heather Gaida, owner of Trusty Tails.
