Hudson School Hornets Roll With 10-3 Boys Soccer Victory
Team captains believe that communication has greatly improved and predict more wins in the team's horizon.
HOBOKEN, NJ — The Hudson School Boys Soccer team picked up its second big win in a row with a 10-3 victory on Monday over Barnstable Academy. The contest was held at the Hornets’ home field at Laurel Hill Park in Secaucus.
After a rocky start to the season, The Hudson School players have pulled through and have now scored their second victory of the season. Led by captains Sino Desta, Boucar Mbaye, and Mateo Gonzalez, THS has won their last two games in a dominating fashion, outscoring their opponents 21-3. Freshman Jett Johnson leads the team in goals scored (7), with almost every other team member getting a goal (or two) in the last two games as well.
In their prior game, the Hornets enjoyed a decisive 11–0 victory over Community. Team captains believe that communication has greatly improved and predict more wins in the team’s horizon. Despite having a few setbacks in the beginning, players and Coach Chris Baker fully believe that the team is back on track and ready for their next opponent.

"This year's team is the most talented and skilled group of individuals I've coached over the past 7 years. It took a few games, but the talented group of individuals has finally become a talented team. We're communicating better, making solid passes and runs, and taking more shots. I'm proud of the improvements we've made and the team we've become."
