New Year's Day In Hoboken: What's Closed, Parking Changes

Which city offices are closed or open on New Year's Day, and what about street sweeping and parking?

HOBOKEN, NJ — Hoboken City Hall will be closed Thursday for the New Year's Day holiday.

The city also noted these changes:

  • Hop shuttle service will be suspended on Jan. 1.
  • Street cleaning will be suspended on Jan. 1.
  • Parking meters will be suspended on Jan. 1 only. All other parking regulations will remain in effect.

Waste collection, including recycling, will occur as regularly scheduled, the city said.

A city spokesperson confirmed for Patch that city offices will reopen on Friday.
