Three fireworks displays were planned for the NYC/New Jersey area this weekend.

NORTH JERSEY, NJ — If you hear a boom on the Hudson River this weekend, don't be surprised.

Three fireworks displays were scheduled in Manhattan for the first weekend in October, with two of them after sundown on Saturday night.

Residents on both the New York City and New Jersey sides of the Hudson River often take to social media to ask where the fireworks are coming from.

Fireworks can spook pets and wake babies, so it's good to have fair warning.

On Friday, the Diwali Gala 2025 planned fireworks for 9:45 p.m. on the Hudson River, opposite Pier 62 on Chelsea Piers.

On Saturday, two displays were planned in New York City around 7:35 p.m.

The Flushing Development Center Moon Festival planned a display for Kissena Corridor Park.

At the same time, another display was planned in the Hudson River off of 62 Chelsea Piers.
