Italian Festival Returns to Hoboken

The annual Italian Festival commences on September 6 and runs through September 9.

From September 6 to September 8, tens of thousands of Hobokenites and visitors will flock to Frank Sinatra Park for the 85th Annual Hoboken Italian Festival.

The Italian Festival comes less than two months after the which happens every year in July and draws thousands of people to town.

Admission is free and more than 50,000 people are expected to attend over the course of the four days.

The festival will include musical acts, entertainment, games and food vendors in order to help celebrate all things Italian.

Buddy "Cake Boss" Valastro will be there to hand out canolis. 

Some of the events over the weekend include: 

  • Activities for all interests and ages with a special focus on children's entertainment throughout the weekend
  • Annual Cannoli Eating Contests on Saturday night
  • Annual Hoboken Fire Department vs. Hoboken Police Department Grape Stomping Contest
  • Major fireworks show closing out Saturday's festivities 
  • World War II Memorial Commemoration
  • A reenactment of the legend of the which has had special meaning to the Italian town of Molfetta for hundreds of years (the celebration of the madonna is the largest outside of Italy)

The festival is open daily on September 6 and 7 from 5 to 11 p.m. and from noon to 11 p.m. on September 8 and 9.
