Learn About Terns And Other Hoboken Birds On Walk This Weekend

Want to learn about Hoboken's new official bird, the tern, and see other species on a walk? An event is planned this weekend.

HOBOKEN, NJ — As part of the effort to protect the terns who've made Hoboken their home — and admire other birds and signs of nature in Hoboken — the Hoboken Historical Museum is sponsoring a birding event this Sunday.

Jeff train, a local resident and bird expert will lead the trek.

"Get to know Hoboken's Honorary Bird, the Common Tern. A colony is inhabiting a pier close to the museum," organizers say.

Walkers will head out to see the tern colony on the pier, and can ask questions.

The walk will start at 4 p.m. Sunday. Meet outside the Hoboken Historical Museum at 1301 Hudson St.
