Main Break Takes Out Water Service on Adams Street

Residents of the 300 block of Adams Street are expected to be without water until early Monday afternoon following an early morning water main break near 325 Adams St., the city announced on its website.

Adams Street from 2nd to 4th streets, 3rd Street from Jefferson to Adams streets, and 4th Street from Grand to Jefferson streets will be closed while crews make repairs to the broken 8-inch water main.

Cars that had been parked in the immediate vicinity of the water main break were towed as a precaution, the city said in a statement. The vehicles' owners will not be charged for the tows.
