Man Caught In Hoboken Park, Surrounded By Stolen Packages: Police
A Jersey City man was arrested in a Hoboken park for possession of stolen property, and other charges.
HOBOKEN, NJ — A man has been arrested after being caught in a Hoboken park surrounded by packages that police say were stolen.
Police say that three officers — David Smentkowski, Ryan Capogna, and Adrian Comayagua — were on patrol on the 900 block of Madison Street late on Sept. 21 when they saw a man "sitting in a small park surrounded by packages."
Many of the packages were addressed to other people, police said.

Victor Rivera, 49, of Jersey City, was arrested for receiving stolen property.
When police searched him, they found him in possession of a glass cylindrical pipe burnt at one end, a thin piece of metal, and a screwdriver, they say.

He was then also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of burglar tools, police say.
He was taken to the Hudson County Correctional Facility.
