Missing Cat Found After Contractors Trap Him In Bathroom Wall In Hoboken
Ren's owner finally found him after 7 days, after contractors trapped him in a bathroom wall in Hoboken.

HOBOKEN, NJ — Ren the cat was missing for a week — but he was just steps away, his owner told Patch on Thursday.
Earlier this week, Ren's owner, Michaela, told Hoboken Patch that she hadn't seen her pet in a few days, and asked area residents to be on the lookout. Ren, a black cat with yellow eyes, was microchipped but not wearing a collar.
Michaela, who lives near Fourteenth Street, said, "He’s very quiet and is likely hiding someplace nearby."

On Thursday, she gave an update.
"I've found Ren," she said. "The builders working on my bathroom accidentally sealed him into the wall around my bathtub. He’s safe and sound and doing well!"

She said she found him after hearing new scratching sounds in the wall. (And not the loud scratching of rats.)
"I heard a soft scratching last night and it sounded like it was coming from behind the shower," she said. "We had to cut about six different holes in the wall to finally get him out, but thank goodness we got him!"
