'No Kings' Rallies In Hudson County Draw Hundreds To Protest White House: PHOTOS
Residents of Hudson and Bergen counties attended "No Kings" attended protests Saturday against specific actions taken by the White House.
HUDSON COUNTY, NJ — Protestors in Hudson County took to the streets on Saturday to demonstrate against what they say are specific authoritarian-type actions taken by the Trump White House.
Sings held by the protestors made reference to the detaining of immigrants — including some who had been in the U.S. legally —and a bill making its way through Congress that the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office says could strip nearly 8 million impoverished people of health care and add $3.8 trillion to the deficit.
Protestors said that White House policies are hewing toward authoritarianism, and when federal judges have ruled some of the executive orders unconstitutional, the Trump administration has fought back.

The protests, held in Jersey City, Weehawken, Teaneck, Paramus, and Rutherford, occurred on the same day as a $25-$45 million military parade in Washington, D.C., meant to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the Army. The parade was also held on Flag Day and the president's birthday.
Protestors suggested that the money could be used to save Medicaid and other programs being removed.
