Planet Fitness In Hoboken To Shut For Renovations Next Week

HOBOKEN, NJ — The Hoboken location of the budget-friendly Planet Fitness chain will close later this month for upgrades.

A sign in the window of the Washington Street location encouraged patrons to try their Weehawken or Jersey City locations starting July 29, when the store will be "upgraded with new equipment, amenities and locker rooms."

The chain is known for low membership rates starting at $15 per month. It also has massage chairs and special events.

Patch has reached out to the chain to find out when they expect to reopen, but had not heard as of press time. Check this article later for an update.

The Weehawken location is at 4100 Park Ave., a walk of about 2.5 miles from the Hoboken location (see the route here). The Jersey City location is farther, on the west side of that city, 321 Route 440.
