Police Arrest East Orange Man After Allegedly Stealing Bike in Uptown Hoboken
This was one of a couple of incidents in which a bike was stolen.

Hoboken police arrested a 53-year-old East Orange resident after allegedly stealing a bike by cutting its lock, police said.
The incident occured just after midnight on Monday, when Ronald Crawford allegedely took the bike of a 28-year-old Hoboken man.
Police received reports of a man who was trying to steal a bicycle at 12th Street and Park Avenue. When police arrived at the location, officers said they saw a man walk in that area and put down a black bike next to a tree as police drove by.

Police got out of the car, the owner of the bike—a black mountain bike—came to the scene and identified the two-wheeler as his own, police said.
Crawford was arrested and charged with theft, police said.

Police found bolt cutters and two other pieces of equipment in Crawford's bag, according to reports.
