Police Blotter: Three People Assaulted; Property Damage At The Housing Authority
An end-of-the-week crime update

The two control arms of the Parking lot at 310 Jackson St. and 311 Harrison St.—two Hoboken Housing Authority buildings—were broken early Friday morning, according to police reports.
The Risk Control & Inspections Coordinator of the Housing Authority said the video with evidence would be brought to police headquarters later due to technical problems, according to police reports.
Housing Authority residents voiced their complaints recently, arguing that they feel that nobody looks at the cameras that are placed outside of the buildings.

Since Dec. 1, there have been 171 arrests in the area around the Hoboken Housing Authority buildings, said Lt. Ken Ferrante during a public meeting on March 8. Most of the people arrested were trespassers. In December there were 64 arrests, 54 in January, 40 in February (of which 20 were people with outstanding warrants) and there have been 13 arrests so far in March, said Ferrante.

Three people (none from Hoboken) were assaulted at 300 Hudson St. around 1:45 a.m. on Friday, according to police reports.
Eyewitnesses told police that a fight had broken out in front of Bahama Mama's on Washington Street, according to reports. After the bouncers broke up the fight, a group of 12 walked around the corner, waiting for the people they had previously fought with, according to reports.
One of the victims' faces had "a mask of blood" but was alert, according to the police reports.
One of the victims told the police that the assailants fled the scene as soon as they heard the police sirens, according to reports.
Two ambulances from Am-Care arrived on the scene as well as an Advanced Life Support ambulance from Jersey City Medical Center. The three victims were transported to Jersey City Medical Center, according to police reports. Their conditions are unknown.
No arrests were made.
