Man's Body Recovered From Hoboken Waterfront (UPDATE)
Two Hoboken parks are closed as police and Hudson County prosecutors investigate the body of a man recovered from the Hudson River.
HOBOKEN, NJ — A man's body was recovered from the Hudson River in Hoboken on Sunday, the Hudson County Prosecutor's Office said.
Police closed two Hoboken waterfront parks due to an "investigation in the area," they posted on social media Sunday afternoon.
The Prosecutor's Office said in a subsequent message before 4 p.m. that they were responding to a "deceased male" recovered on the waterfront.

The Hoboken police wrote, "Heads up City of Hoboken. Pier C is currently closed, with Hoboken PD and Hudson County Prosecutor conducting an investigation in the area."
They said that part of Sinatra Park, north of Pier C, was also closed.

"There is NO danger to the public, but please avoid the area," police said.
They noted that the Fire Department and emergency services were also on hand.

The man's body was not recovered at that time.
