Popular Farmer's Market In Jersey City Ends Sunday. See What's Replacing It

A popular Jersey City farmer's market ends this weekend, but something will soon replace it.

JERSEY CITY, NJ — The farmer's market at Riverview-Fisk Park in Jersey City Heights — just up the hill from Hoboken — has a lot to offer.

Each Sunday, vendor sell art, coffee, produce bread, soaps, and much more.

There are several festivals, concerts, and events each season, including a peach pie contest.

Sunday is the final market of the season, running from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the park, at 598 Palisades Ave., a short walk from the 9th Street Light Rail Station.

Among the vendors this weekend will be Jersey City's own Hank Schwartz's Deli and Appetizing.

Who's Next?

But the park won't stay empty for long.

Next month, the Heights Holiday Market will come to town.

That market will fun from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the same park. It's running on Dec. 6, which is a Saturday.

It'll include photos with Santa and around 150 vendors in total.

"We'll be there with matzo ball soup," said Jason Stahl of Hank Schwartz's Delicatessen & Appetizing.
