Popular Hoboken Italian Restaurant And Bakery Closes Temporarily
A popular Hoboken Italian café and pastry shop has closed while it changes ownership. What's in store?
HOBOKEN, NJ — Seven years ago, three men opened a corner café on Hoboken's west side, serving pasta, takeout meals, salads, baked goods, and coffee.
But Dolce and Salato — on the corner of Eleventh and Grand streets — has mysteriously closed, with only signs in the window saying "Under New Ownership."

As he approached his new home on the ship, he saw Hoboken for the first time, not knowing it would one day be the location of his dream cafe."
The eatery has served house-made salads, sandwiches, coffee, and authentic Italian pastries made by Palazzone 1960.
