Services Start Today For Hoboken Council President Jen Giattino, 53

"Jen was everyone's neighbor," said Councilwoman Tiffanie Fisher. Services for Hoboken Council President Giattino start Monday.

HOBOKEN, NJ — Services for Hoboken City Council President and mother of three Jen Giattino, who died last Tuesday afternoon, will be held this coming Monday through Wednesday.

Visitation will be held from 2-9 p.m. Monday at Lawton-Turso Funeral Home, 633 Washington St. The funeral will be Wednesday.

Giattino, who turned 53 last month, won re-election to a fourth term in 2023.

Her obituary on the Lawton-Turso Funeral Home website says, "Jen's devotion to her community was unmatched. Her kindness and dedication to her neighbors made her a cherished figure in the community she so proudly served."

"Jen was the G.O.A.T. of City Council, the foundation of my public service, and my partner in advocacy," said Councilwoman Tiffanie Fisher, who wrote her obituary. "We were sounding boards for each other, protectors, and trusted allies in the fight for good government, transparency, and reform. Jen’s goodness, integrity, and commitment to our neighbors—especially our most vulnerable—remain my inspiration in all that I do."
