Spring Has Already Sprung at Blue Skies Pottery

Here’s the rundown of what you can expect…

If you’re a beginner: so many fun moments and chances to try something new! The cool thing about pottery is there are tons of skills, methods, and shapes to explore. On your first day you’ll get to jump on the wheel, but that’s only the beginning. Throughout the 7-week session you’ll trim, glaze, hand build, and more. You might not be an expert from day one, but by the end of the session you’ll have the chance to make cups, bowls, and mugs that can adorn your cupboards forever.

If you have some experience: a new environment, an A+ community, and a group of experienced instructors who love teaching new, challenging techniques. This is where things get really fun. We have several options for students with pottery experience, ranging from classes that still focus on beginner techniques with some slightly more challenging tweaks, all the way to intermediate and advanced classes where students get to experiment with extra large pieces, jars with air/ liquid tight tops, teapots, and more. We even offer studio memberships for experienced potters who don't currently need any instruction, but who just want a supportive environment to practice their craft.

If you're a child or young student: it's past your bedtime! Just kidding. We have an extensive youth program for children ages 9-17 (with a bit of wiggle room depending on the individual child). This program includes first time youth potters, as well as a weekly special needs class for any children with disabilities. We've seen firsthand how the therapeutic and immersive nature of pottery can resonate so strongly with children of all ages, and we can't recommend it enough to any kid who might be curious.
