Starting the week of May 8th, our second Spring session at Blue Skies Pottery will begin for 7 weeks of pottery-filled fun! Whether you’re completely new to pottery and can’t tell a wheel from a turntable, or you’re an experienced potter looking for a new studio to call home, we’ve got you covered with our beginner’s courses, intermediate/ advanced classes, and studio memberships.
We’ve found that some people hesitate to register because they have a bunch of questions and can feel overwhelmed, so we’ve put together a brief FAQ below:
Q: How often do adult classes meet?
A: For our 7-Week session, you and your class will meet once a week with an instructor for 2 hours, and you’ll also get 3 hours per week to come practice during open studio.
Q: What kind of pottery can I make?
A: Whatever you’d like! Bowls, vases, jars, citrus reamers; the (Blue) skies the limit.
Q: What if I have to miss class one week?
A: No problem! We try to be as flexible as possible and will always work to move you into a different day or timeslot that works for your schedule.
Q: What about kids? Does my kid have to commit to the full 7 weeks?
A: Nope! Our kid’s classes meet once a week for 90 minutes AND we have an extended kid’s course that meets once a week for 2 hours, but if they can’t make it every week, we also offer one-time kid’s classes.
Q: How much does the full 7-week session cost?
A: Our 7-Week Adult Session costs $630.00. You get unlimited clay and studio glazes and 35 total hours of studio time. Broken down, that’s $90.00 per week and just $18.00 per hour of studio time. Our 7-Week kid’s course costs $385.00.
Q: I know this is random… but do you offer Summer Camp for kids?
A: Crazy you should ask! We DO offer Summer Camp for kids! ;-)
Q: Am I going to have fun?
A: We don’t have much in common with Men’s Warehouse, but in the words of their bearded spokesman, I guarantee it.
We hope we'll see you at the studio soon, and click here to sign up now!
