Stranger Stabs Woman On Street In North Bergen: Prosecutor
A man has been arrested for stabbing a woman on the street in Hudson County. It was the second such incident, prosecutors say.
HUDSON COUNTY, NJ — A man was arrested on Monday for stabbing a woman on the street in Union City on Saturday, prosecutors said.
Axel Fuentes-Zavala, 35, was charged with aggravated assault, harassment, unlawful possession of a weapon (knife), and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose.
Prosecutors said that a woman told Union City police that she was approached by an unknown man who "stabbed her in the back multiple times after a brief interaction."

Her injuries were not life-threatening, prosecutors said.
During the investigation, detectives determined that the suspect was wanted for a similar crime on Aug. 25 in North Bergen.

He was arrested at home and taken to the Hudson County jail, prosecutors said.
