Sign-up time is now for summer camps in the Hoboken area. Here are a few camps to consider, including for those on a budget.

HOBOKEN, NJ — Summer camp anyone? Games, arts and crafts, outdoor hikes, and snacks with friends are all part of the fun around Hoboken.

Now is the time to make plans for summer camps as they fill up fast. All around Hudson County there are some good camp options for kids. Here are a few.

The Step by Step School in the Monroe Center runs an after-care program during the school year and summer camp after school ends. There's a summer camp just for kids 3-5 years old and Step Up camps for those 5-15 years old. Summer camp 2022 includes STEM courses for older kids along with lots of screen-free activities. Bold Arts in Hoboken offers summer dance camps for pre-K through fourth grade kids at All Saints Episcopal Day School. Find more information about classes and other locations that offer classes for other ages, here.

Bricks 4 Kids is a "Lego-themed Fungineering Camp" where science, technology, engineering, and math are woven into camp activities. Bricks 4 Kidz is in the Monroe Center in Hoboken. Register for a camp here.

Gravity Vault is a rock climbing facility that welcomes youth who want to practice their skills. There are many program options, including camps for kids. They're at 1423 Clinton St. Find out more on the website.

The Boys and Girls Clubs of Hudson County at 123 Jefferson St., Hoboken, and at 225 Morris Boulevard Jersey City, may have just the summer camp for your kids. Boys and Girls Clubs of Hudson County offers affordable full-day camps during the summer at each of its locations in Hoboken and Jersey City. Young people are involved in a variety of engaging programs under the supervision of adult professionals, including field trips to baseball games, water parks, museums and other local attractions.
