Based in Hoboken, Tessa International School (Tessa) is a bilingual French-English, Spanish-English and Mandarin-English Early childhood and primary school.
Since its opening in December 2017, Tessa International School has experienced rapid growth despite the Covid crisis. In this 2022-2023 school year, it has nearly 200 students.
Tessa's unique offering, which combines the official French curriculum and the International Baccalaureate’s Primary Years Program (IB), creates many academic and social emotional growth opportunities for its students. This dynamic and goal-oriented program provides children with the skills to challenge themselves in an environment that holds them to the highest academic standards.
An enthusiastic international community
Sixty cultural backgrounds are represented within the school.
“Tessa is built on a foundation of inclusivity. Our students come from all over the world, (and right here in the USA). This is a school that finds reasons to celebrate. We celebrate the achievement of our students in academics, music, the arts, and languages and the richness of the cultures we all represent.” explains Kathleen Visconti, Head of School.
Tessa's parents and staff have engaged wholeheartedly in obtaining both accreditations.
