Happy Thanksgiving!
If you're planning on conducting municipal business this week, make sure you do so before Thursday. City Hall is closed both Thursday and Friday for Thanksgiving. Street cleaning (alternate side parking regulations) is also suspended on those days.
Hoboken public schools are closed on Thursday and Friday. Classes district-wide will be dismissed early — 1 p.m. — on Wednesday.
If you're looking for a local charity to support this holiday season, the Hoboken Family Alliance kicks off its holiday toy drive this week.
Donations of toys should be new and unwrapped, for ages infant to 17, and will be distributed to needy kids in and around Hoboken. Click here for a list of drop-off spots around the city.
Also note that the Christopher Street PATH station will be closed overnight Monday and Tuesday. If you're out in the city after 11 p.m. on either night and plan to take the PATH back into Hoboken, avoid Christopher Street and instead board at the 9th Street PATH station.
