Happy New Year! From all of us at Blue Skies, we hope 2023 will bring great happiness, health, and wellness; and what better way to start working towards those goals than with one of our several courses? From countless studies showing the strong positive correlation between practicing pottery and increased serotonin production, to the overwhelmingly positive testimonials from our students over the past few sessions, we know firsthand and see in action daily how helpful being a part of our community can be to cultivating a lifestyle of mental wellness.
When we opened our studio doors this past summer, one of our top goals was to share the experience of pottery with as many people as possible, lowering the barriers to entry and creating space for a supportive community to take shape. Our own experiences with pottery were two-fold, our studio owner Val had returned to ceramics during the pandemic after a long hiatus and was struck by what good it provided for her mental well-being, but she also saw that not many studios were available to a spectrum of potters that included beginners, experts, and everything in between. That’s where the idea to create Blue Skies Pottery was born.

Our Winter session begins the week of January 9th, and we still have 10-week courses and introductory classes available in multiple timeslots. If you’re worried about being able to make it every week on the same day or about it being too close to the start of the session, don’t be. We’re always happy to work with you to make sure you get the most out of your experience at Blue Skies, and we try to be as flexible as possible to make sure your busy schedule doesn’t get in the way of trying something we truly believe you’ll love and look forward to each week.
We hope you had a wonderful holiday season and that your 2023 is off to a great start, and we can’t wait to see you at the studio soon.
