Who's Got Best 'Mutz' In Hoboken? Cheese Festival Returns This Month

HOBOKEN, NJ — Tickets are now on sale for the annual "Mutzfest" — Hoboken's mozzarella festival with eating contests, tastings, singalongs, and family activities.

The event will take place on Sunday, Aprll 27, under the 14th Street Viaduct that brings drivers from Jersey City and Union City to Hoboken.

This year's event will include a cannoli eating contest, mozzarella stick eating contest, Sinatra singalong, live music, beer and wine garden, and more events.

Hoboken's popular Italian delis — which handmake their own mozzarella — will compete to see who has the best "mutz."

Among the local delis participating this year are Lisa's, M&P Biancamano, Vito's & Son, and several others. Vinnie's Mootz will represent Lyndhurst.

This event is organized by the Hoboken Family Alliance and proceeds from the event will benefit its local community initiatives.
