Structure Fire Closes Part Of Highway 35 In Holmdel

HOLMDEL, NJ — Highway 35 northbound is operating with one lane of traffic between Laurel Avenue and Union Avenue due to a structure fire that has since been extinguished, Holmdel Police said Tuesday.

According to officials, the fire was located at a construction site on Highway 35 and emergency services are currently operating at the scene.

Police are asking the public to avoid the area due to heavy traffic and emergency personnel working.

If people must travel this way, officials ask that drivers use caution due to emergency vehicles that will be in the roadway.

Holmdel Police were not immediately available for further comment.
